Kraven the Hunter (2023) is a 2023 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name.
It is directed by J.C. Chandor and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Sergei Kravinoff, alongside Russell Crowe, Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, and Alessandro Nivola.
Taylor-Johnson is particularly impressive as Kravinoff, a complex and conflicted character who is driven by his obsession with hunting.
He is a charismatic and charming figure, but he is also capable of great violence and cruelty.
Crowe is also excellent as Kravinoff's father, a former Russian general who trains his son to be a hunter.
The film's opening sequence, which sets the scene for Kravinoff's childhood.
The film can be violent at times, which may be too much for some viewers.
