The film is a sequel to the 1973 film The Exorcist, and follows the story of a single father named Victor Fielding who must find a way to save his possessed daughter, Angela.
American supernatural horror film directed by David Gordon Green and starring Leslie Odom Jr., Lidya Jewett, and Blaire Underwood.
Odom Jr. is particularly impressive as Victor, a complex and conflicted character who is struggling to come to terms with his daughter's possession. Jewett is also excellent as Angela, a young girl who is fighting for her soul.
Horror possesion, Angela is shown to be free of the demon's possession at the end of the film. She is also shown to be happy and healthy, but Angela's father, Victor, is shown to be grieving at the end of the film.
The film's ambiguous ending is one of the things that makes it so memorable and thought-provoking.
