I am one of those people, I have to admit, who consider social networks just a means to an end, contradictorily the few times I use them I end up following everyone. It seems to me that there are a lot of interesting and creative people who post original and/or funny content. Every time I see a profile that catches my eye, I can't help but hit the follow button. Thus, I have ended up following hundreds or thousands of people, without realizing the consequences.
What happens is that following so many people has its drawbacks. For example my X (Twitter) feed has become a mess, full of posts that don't interest me, are irrelevant or just spam. Also, I have realized that many of the users I follow are bots, that the posts are promotions or that they have nothing to do with my interests or preferences. I would like to unfollow all those users, but doing it one by one is very tiring and boring.
Clearing the following list of the social network X can have several benefits, depending on your goals and preferences. Some of them are:
📌 Improve the quality of your feed: By unfollowing users you don't care about, who post irrelevant content or who are bots, you can improve the quality of your feed and only see what you like or add value to. Thus, you can enjoy your X experience more and avoid distractions or annoyances.
📌 Optimize your follower/following ratio: By reducing the number of people you follow, you can optimize your follower/following ratio, which is a measure of how influential or popular you are on X. A high ratio means you have more followers than followed, which can give an image of authority or credibility in your niche or topic. A low ratio means the opposite, which can give an image of spam or lack of interest. Therefore, cleaning up your following list can help you improve your online reputation and attract more potential followers.
📌 Save time and resources: by eliminating users who don't contribute anything to you, you can save time and resources that you could invest in other more productive or fun activities. For example, you can spend more time interacting with your followers, creating quality content, learning something new, or enjoying your leisure.
For this reason, determined to find a faster and easier solution to clean my list, I remembered that I had a script that someone gave me some time ago (I don't remember who) and that for those things that: "...right now I do it . .." although later we forget, I never got to try. It is true that there are thousands, millions of applications that solve these problems, but I am too "afraid" of the "hidden" functions they may have. I have tested the script several times and the method has surprised me by its simplicity and efficiency. Its execution automatically deletes the users that I follow in a massive way with just a few simple steps (about 30-50 for each execution). Of course, the ideal would be to improve it, perhaps adding some filters to optimize its performance. If someone is excited to improve it, I would appreciate it if you could send me the updates, if they have developed something more efficient, well, even better. I just hope you find it useful.

2º - In X Go to "Profile".
3º - Click on "Following" and another window opens where you can see "Followers" and "Following".
4º - On "Following" execute right click, a secondary window opens, click on the item "Inspect" and a window opens on the right with several tabs.
5º - Search and click on the "Console" tab.
6º - Go to the end of the "Console" tab, paste the script and execute: Enter. The script will automatically start deleting the "Following". To re-run the script just follow the steps above.
⚠ Important: Do not abuse the use of the script so that X does not block it.
